薛常慧 Waro Hsueh
台大人類學系及台南藝術學院音像紀錄研究所畢業，曾任新聞記者、影片企劃執行、輔導金國片與Discovery國際頻道節目、加拿大電視台節目之在地製片，目前為自由影像工作者，酷好以影像做考古，導演作品以歷史人文與NGO相關議題為主。2007年起開始執導HD規格之紀錄片，最新作品「藝霞年代」為首部發表之HD紀錄片作品。目前正在籌拍新的HD規格紀錄片「竹.道」甫獲得國家文藝基金會補助。
Waro Hsueh is a former journalist, film marketing executive, producer of a movie channel, and a producer of an international channel. Her directing works are mostly history, humanist culture, and NGO related. Currently, she is working as a freelancer in the visual arts and is very interested in using images to study archaeology.She has recently refined her focus to international topics. In 2007, she started shooting her documentaries in HD, E.SHA Age is her first work is the HD documentary.
